上世纪保守党执政主要为1911-1917， 1930-1935， 1957-1963， 1984-1993。大家不妨去看看四次大的萧条有几次在保守党执政时发生。加拿大历史上最严重的萧条是1991-1993年，也是历史上唯一一次美国被加拿大拖入萧条。

The Great Depression started in 1929 when Liberal was in power. The prime minister was William Lyon Mackenzie King. Compare to that, the others are walking in the park.
